1. The function of laser cutting hollow press machine

The laser cutting machine generates a large amount of tiny sparks during operation. In order to ensure work safety, protective gas must be used. The function of the air compressor is to compress a part of the air to form cutting gas with high-purity oxygen and high-purity nitrogen, which is provided to the cutting head. Another part is used as a power gas source to supply the cylinder of the clamping worktable, and the other part is used to blow and remove dust from the optical system. The compressed air discharged from the air enters the air control cabinet through the storage tank and dryer, and then passes through a precision processing system to become clean and dry gas. It is finally divided into three paths, which are used as cutting gas, cylinder power gas source, and positive pressure dust removal gas to maintain the normal operation of the laser cutting machine.

2. Maintenance of laser cutting air compressor

(1) Air filter cartridge. Generally, the dust and impurities on the surface of the air filter element should be removed every 500 hours, and the need for replacement should be checked every 200 hours. The inspection or replacement cycle can be extended or shortened according to the dust content.

(2) Inlet valve seal. Check the condition of the sealing ring of the air compressor of the laser cutting machine every 400 hours of operation and replace it if necessary.

(3) Compressor lubricating oil. Check if the lubricating oil is sufficient every 100 hours and replace it with new oil every 400 hours. Oil filter. New parts need to be replaced every 200 hours. Oil vapor separator. New parts need to be replaced every 400 hours.

(4) Minimum pressure valve. Clean every 400 hours and check if the opening pressure is normal. Safety valve. Check its agility every 400 hours. Oil drain valve. Water and dirt should be discharged every 200 hours

(5) Drive belt. Adjust the tightness every 200 hours, check the wear condition every 400 hours, and decide whether to replace it based on the wear condition

(6) Motor maintenance. Perform maintenance according to the motor instruction manual

  1. Before choosing an air compressor, it is important to understand the power and nozzle size of your laser cutting machine based on the gas volume. Choose an air compressor with a larger gas volume than the actual usage, but not too much larger than the actual demand. If the gas supply is excessive, the machine will enter a shutdown sleep state. In order to maintain stable gas supply pressure, once the gas continues to be used, the air compressor will have to start and run again. Frequent "start run sleep" can seriously cause bubbles and emulsification of lubricating oil in the oil and gas separator, high oil content in the exhaust port, and shorten the service life of the air compressor.
  2. Pressure selection: With sufficient laser power, the higher the pressure, the better the cutting quality and the higher the cutting efficiency. But if the laser power is not high enough, no matter how high the pressure is, it will not be helpful. Reasonably select according to the cutting material and quality requirements.
  3. The quality of compressed air has a very direct impact on the quality of laser cutting. Compressed air contains water mist and oil. If not cleaned thoroughly, high-pressure spraying onto the protective mirror surface of the laser cutting head will seriously affect the transmission of the laser beam, scatter the focus, cause the product to be difficult to cut, and produce waste.
